Start spreadin’ the news…

Now that it’s more or less official, I thought I should tell everyone: I’m moving back to New York.

• WHAT?! I know. That’s how I feel about it too.
• WHEN? In December, after Thanksgiving. That way I get Indian summer here and arrive in New York just in time for the deep freeze so that my heart can break properly in half.
• WHY? My day job was just restructured into a different role, which is located in New York. (i.e. I’m not moving because I think I’m a hot shit comedian. Which doesn’t mean I don’t think that, but this is unrelated.)
• WHERE? Good question. I need to find an apartment, so if you have any connections of that type, please let me know. I would like a grownup one-bedroom apartment, but I’m also open to roommates, and Brooklyn and Queens are both on the table. And conversely, if you know anyone looking for an awesome roommate (with an awesome cat) in an awesome apartment in San Francisco, and is awesome (we need a matching set), please send them my way.

I’m excited (but also still kind of freaking out). I do intend to visit the West Coast on a regular basis, but I have a San Francisco bucket list that I need to hit before I leave (first item: write bucket list. Suggestions welcome).

I’d love to write a long and flowery post about this, but that’s not really my style! Maybe when I get there…
